The more choice we have in any walk of life, the harder it is to make a decision. This has never been truer than when it comes to deciding on a new hair colour.
As well as choosing the final shade we are trying to achieve we have now also got to agree, with our stylist on how we get there. Will it be highlights or lowlights (depending on whether you’re going darker or lighter), will it be a block permanent colour or semi-permanent depending on how brave you are.
Then there’s ombre, balayage, root colour, sombre – yes that’s really a thing (it’s a softer subtler version of ombre), hair painting splashlights and panelling.
So, is it any wonder why so many of us go into the salon and sometimes even leave the salon feeling confused and bewildered?
Well thankfully Toni & Guy are rewriting the rule book.
Following the success of their style menu they have now simplified everything by launching a colour menu.
The list, created by Global Creative Director Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck and the multi award-winning Artistic Team, promises “to make navigating the colour world easier than ever before”.
As well as a full range of colours including honey blondes, rich brunettes and iconic reds the menu also includes trend-led techniques such as Balayage and TONI&GUY’s own signature Lumi-Ombrage.
The best thing though is the fact it gives all the important information too like the time it will takes, the level of maintenance needed and the price!
The colour menu
It’s important to remember though that not every colour is achievable for everyone, depending on hair type, colour and colour history. Or that every colour will suit every skin tone so that’s where team of technicians come into their own.
