If you’re a fan of festival hair and aren’t prepared to put the glitter away for another year we’ve got three stunning looks, including bubble braids, to add a bit of sparkle to AW17.

We absolutely love these styles from the gorgeous Digital Love collection from the award-winning Aberdeen salon Linton & Mac.

Co-Directors of the salon Jennifer Linton and J Macdonald, share how they achieved the three looks.

Bubble Braids
Heidi Braids

1. Prep the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli and L’Oréal Expert Super Dust.
2. Clip in coloured hairpieces and divide the hair into two sections.
3. Create a fishtail braid in each of the two sections and secure each braid with a clear band.
4. Tie the two braids together in a knot and twist until they sit on the nape of the neck. Use bobby pins to secure.
5. Finish with Windle & Moodie Light Satin Hairspray.

Bubble Braids

1. Prep the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli
2. Part the hair straight down the middle and secure one section to keep it out of the way.
3. Take roughly an inch section of hair from the top of the head and secure it tightly with a coloured band.
4. Using the same technique as a plait, take another section of hair and combine it to the first section so that the next band sits roughly 2-3 inches behind the first band.
5. Using the end of a comb, gently pull at the hair positioned between the two bands to create your first bubble.
6. Repeat until you reach the end of the hair.
7. Repeat the process on the other side of the head.
8. Finish with Windle & Moodie Light Satin Hairspray.
*We think that 2-3 inch spaces work the best, as bigger bubbles look better.

Glitter Buns

1. Prep the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli and L’Oréal Expert Super Dust.
2. Part the hair straight down the middle and secure each section into high ponytails with a clear hair band.
3. Take the first ponytail and begin to wrap the length of the hair around the hairband. Create the size of bun that you envisioned and secure tightly with hairpins.
4. Take the second ponytail and repeat the process, aiming to make the bun the same size as the first one.
4. Brush Windle & Moodie Thickening Cream along the parting and sprinkle with glitter.
