Going to the salon should be enjoyable, relaxing and a chance for everyone to enjoy some much needed ‘me time’ and The Chapel have taken that idea to a new level following a makeover of their Islington salon.
The Chapel, an award-winning hair salon brand based in London, Kent and Verbier bases their ethos on the importance of taking a pause from the busy modern life and being able to have the time to relax and focus on yourself. It is this ethos which has gone into the planning, layout and design of their new salon interior.
As well as looking stunning the interior has been cleverly designed so clients can relax from the second they walk through the door, from the busy Islington high-street.
Mood-lighting shrouds the salon, helping to create an ambience of relaxation whilst perpendicular mirrors pepper the walls, giving guests the illusion that they are the only one in the salon.
The vision came about as part of the founder, Amanda Dicker’s determination to create a salon experience like no other: a place where people could truly relax and take time for themselves, with interiors designed to inspire and reflect tranquillity and serenity.
The spacious environment, with large sofas and armchairs scattered around, gives customers the privacy to really switch off and when guests arrive, they are encouraged to switch off their phones to help them disconnect for a few precious moments.
“My aim is to let every guest have a moment to pause and put themselves first so that ultimately they can feel at their very best”, said Amanda.
“At the end of the day, customer experience is my team’s top priority. A great haircut, well that’s just a bonus.”
Their innovation doesn’t stop there though, they have also launched a colour studio – an interactive and educational colour workshop.
They believe that colouring your hair can be one of the most empowering statements to make, yet understand that many consumers know very little about it.
This area, coupled with the inspirational colourful walls and wall art, is where the stylists and their guests go through the colour process together and no questions go unanswered, allowing customers to feel at ease before a bold transformation.
